Introduction
Liberty City. What can be said that hasn't been said already? Crime is rampant. The mobs are kicking in stronger than ever. Gang violence is on the rise. Worst of all? The bridges to each sector of Liberty City aren't even built yet. Seven years before the events of Grand Theft Auto 3, Liberty City's favorite Italian crime families are about to meet their match, and it's time to put them on top once again. But who can handle that kind of pressure?
We can. Here at IGN Guides, we work harder than any crime family syndicate to bring you the best in what we do: help people complete the toughest of missions, help people uncover every collectible, and help every person make the best mac 'n cheese you'll ever taste. If you're wonder what actually does become of the broken hearted, you're here in the Intro. If you're looking for easy solutions and common questions answered, browse our Basics. Need help on a tough mission or side-mission (including races)? Look at our Missions section. Lookin' for everything else in the game, such as vigilante mission observations? Click the Odd Jobs section. Hunt those Hidden Packages as soon as you touch down in Liberty City with the help of our Hidden Packages section. Looking to kill lots of people in different scenarios for rewards? Take a looksee at our Rampages section. Wanting to hit the high jumps for that 100% completion? View the Unique Stunt Jumps section. Finally, take a gander at the Secrets section for all of your cheating needs.
In this Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories strategy guide, you'll find:
* Basic strategy and tips.
* GTA: Liberty City Stories walkthrough to help you complete every mission in the game.
* Odd Jobs details.
* Hidden Package locationsall 100 of them.
* Tips for all Rampages and how to find them.
* Locations for Unique Stunt Jumps.
We normally say something cute here, but we're exhausted. It's been a long year, and Liberty City Stories just made it twice as long. |

100% Gold, Baby
If you can manage to get 100% completion, you'll receive speeders in the Portland waters and a Rhino at Fort Staunton. In order to complete the game at 100%, you will have to do the following...
* Finish all of the missions and side-missions (all covered in the Missions section)
* Finish all races with gold medals (all covered in the Missions section)
* Collect all 100 Hidden Packages (all covered in the Hidden Packages section)
* Complete all 20 Rampages (all covered in the Rampages section)
* Complete all 26 Unique Stunt Jumps (all covered in the Unique Stunt Jumps section)
Markers
Reading your markers is vital to everything imaginable in Grand Theft Auto series. You can highlight your map and place a singular marker on it after zooming in. If you're looking to outrun the cops by traveling to a specific destination, just bust out your map and read it over to tell where you're supposed to go. This also works if you find a Rampage or something of the sort while doing a mission, and need to come back to it later. Just place your markers and do your thang.
Ammu-Nation
Everybody's favorite gun shop is back in Liberty City Stories, and they're there for you whenever you might need a little additional help disposing of some pests. Purchasing a piece isn't as simple as it looks, as you will need some serious dough to acquire such weaponry. It's almost easier to just collect the 100 Hidden Packages than deal with spending your hard-stolen money on hardware to blast fools with.
Get Good or Die Tryin'
If you die, you'll be taken to a hospital. You will lose all of your weapons that you had upon dying (hence why it's noteworthy to save very frequently), and if you died during a mission, you'll have a taxi awaiting your hospital exit that will automatically take you to the mission dealer. How convenient!
Breakin' The Law
There are a few ways to lose the fuzz, the bronze 5-0, the poh-poh, you name it... The most obvious or which is getting your vehicle sprayed at the Pay 'N Spray. This will cost you a little bit of cash money, but it's worth it to lose the police. You cannot commit any crimes immediately afterwards or else you will catch the attention of the good guys once again. Another great way to lose the coppers is to run over and thus collect Bribes. Police Bribes are circular icons that look like police badges, and they will reduce your star total by one per icon. While being chased, be careful not to run over tire traps that will rip your rubber to shreds, hampering your top speed and control significantly. |
| Quote: | Missions
Note: Here, you will find every mission from every source in the game. You can find certain missions wherever they start, not just by the mission giver. Such as, if you receive a mission from Salvatore Leone on Staunton, look under Staunton for Salvatore's mission list. Enjoy, and good luck. |
| Quote: | | --------------------------------------------------------PORTLAND------------------------------------------------------- |
| Quote: | Vincenzo
The Beginning
Hop into the vehicle and drive down the hill. Drive down the hill and turn right at the yellow blip. Watch the cut-scene and go into the yellow marker. Change clothes by collecting the Change Clothing blip, and head back downstairs. Hop into the car and drive towards Trenton, a business district near the hospital. Yellow the yellow dot on the map to reach it, and you'll receive $100 for completing the mission.
Slacker
Return to Vincenzo's place and hop into a decent vehicle (the one from the previous mission works well). Drive up to the hill and pick up your worker by driving into the yellow marker. Drive to the marker in Chinatown and you will pass the mission, receiving $100 along the way.
Dealing Revenge
Head back to Vinny's and he'll order you to go to Chinatown and whack somebody. Follow the marker to the left to reach your destination, and you'll hop out into an alley. Hold the Lock-On button and press the Action button repeatedly to pound this ass' skull inside-out. When he hits the ground, stomp on him to finish him off for good. Now you will have to chase down a couple more of these Sindacco dealers before the mission is over. You can kill the other two by simply running them over with your vehicle. Once you've killed all three dealers, you'll clear the mission and receive $500.
Snuff
Enter Vinny's "palace" and get ready to grab some firepower at Ammu-Nation. Follow the blip on the radar to reach it, and go inside on foot. Pick up the free pistol, and take a vehicle to the construction site to the northeast. Lock onto the two guards and blow them away to go further inside of the construction site. Shoot the explosive barrel straight ahead to kill a guard and turn left to pop the pistol-toter. Turn right to shoot the guard coming down the ramp. With them dead, head left and you'll see your target next to a car. Bump him off with some strafing gunplay, and grab his cell phone. Hop in the car and drive to the Pay 'N Spray. You'll receive $500 and clear the mission.
Smash And Grab
Grab a four-person vehicle (think van at this point), and head over to the blip on the radar to find Leone's idiotic scumbags screwing up their selected task. Leone's health meter drops steadily the longer you take, so get there quickly. As you approach the gas station, you'll receive a three-star rating. Pick up the goons and lose the poh-poh (be careful of traveling near the gas pumps, as they'll blow sky-high with you in the van). To lose the cops, you'll want to drive to your neighborhood Pay 'n Spray. It's located to the southeast. The cops will likely take out your wheels along the way, so get ready for some intense action. Drive to the hideout to pass the mission and collect $1000.
Hot Wheels
You'll have to pick up a vehic fulla blow. Travel east to find the blue dot on the map. As soon as you hop in, the cops pull up and want to send you to the pokey. Back up and zoom ahead, plowing through their cars before they can open your door up. You'll have to get to a Pay 'n Spray quickly, so watch your step as you drive along (they may take out your tires), and take the alley shortcut to lose a couple of cherries. After losing the fuzz, drive to the nearby lock-up and watch the cut-scene. It's time to royally screw up his business by beating the living hell out of his precious car. Take it and destroy it in the car crusher down the block!
The Portland Chainsaw Masquerade
Head back to Vinny's pad and meet him on the cargo ship at the docks. You can reach it to the right of the blip, as there is a bridge leading onto the ship itself. Once in the yellow blip, go right and collect the magnum. Head down to the hull on the left for a surprise. Get ready for a whole lot of dancing, as you dance around the chainsaw-wielding hitmen and blowing their heads off with the magnum after successfully getting far away before them. With all of the chainsaw men dancing, Vinny comes out with an automatic weapon. Disarm him by killing him dead, using your magnum five times. Booshaka! $3000 and the Overalls outfit are now available to you. |
| Quote: | JD O'Toole
You'll have to arrive at JD's wearing your casual outfit instead of your work suit.
Bone Voyeur!
After a revealing cut-scene, hop in the van and you'll have to collect all of your money from the hookers throughout the Red Light District. Try not to cause much trouble as you search for the randomly placed prostitutes. Occasionally, you'll be asked to kill the pimp that has taken one of JD's many whores. Just run over them with the van. Complete the task by 5:45 in the morning to complete the mission, and collect all of your cash.
Don in 60 Seconds
Hop into the car and quickly drive around the block to reach the Pay 'n Spray. Park it in there and take Sal home for a cut-scene. This is an easy mission that will rack you in $1000 for simply taking a man to his house. Easy pickens!
A Volatile Situation
After the cut-scene, hop into your vehicle and make your way up to the gambling house in Saint Mark's. Drive into the yellow marker and hop into a big, sturdy vehicle. Chase down the red blip on the map and ram the hell out of it! You will want to destroy the vehicle full of Sindacco goons before it's too late. A second set of enemies in a vehicle are coming your way, so get prepared to intercept them with more ramming. If you can cut them off into a building, you can pull them out of their vehicle and shoot them. Take their automatic weaponry and get ready to gun down yet another group of Sindaccos. Do not allow more than one bomb to go off, or you will lose the mission. Last but not least, they've rigged a truck with a bomb, so hop into your car and attempt to derail the vehicle! If you can't do that (not likely), hop in and drive it to a safe distance from the building according to the meter. Be sure to be at a safe distance yourself, or you will die. You'll receive $1000 for passing the mission.
Blow Up 'Dolls'
You'll have to figure out how to blow up the Doll House, a key location for the Sindacco family. Find a suitable vehicle to strap a bomb to, like white station wagon outside. Take it over to 8-Ball's bomb shop in Saint Mark's. Try not to damage it too much along the way, as it will most certainly explode with you in it. Park the vehicle within the small parking lot and run like hell over the wall to avoid getting caught. Detonate that mother as soon as you can! You'll get $1500 for completing such a task.
Salvatore's Salvation
JD tells you between his ramblings that Salvatore's been kidnapped, so hop into the closest vehicle you can find and drive off-slowly-behind the car. You cannot be noticed, so be very careful as you follow behind. Try to stay close enough that you can see them in the distance, but no closer. After the cut-scene, charge in with your vehicle and smash theirs up! Follow them and cut them off into buildings and such. After a while, they will hop out of the car. You can run them over swiftly, or hop out of the car and blast them with some heavy firepower. Afterwards, collect the car with Salvatore in it, and drive him back to his place. You'll get $1500 for passing the mission.
The Guns of Leone
It's time to play sniper! Go across the street to the teal blip and go into the alley to find a set of stairs leading to the top of the building. Collect the sniper rifle and walk to the yellow beacon on the rooftop (try not to grab the Adrenaline Pill in case you need it later). Zoom in with your scope and drop the initial guards shooting at Sal's men. A few more will appear down the middle, so blow them away and turn left to find a van that they will pour out of. Pop a shell into all three of the Sindaccos and move to higher ground to the left to reach the enemies in the distance to the right. Some enemies will appear to the left, so hop up onto the ledge after taking the Adrenaline Pill and shoot them. The cops will arrive, so quickly take them out as they exit the cop car and you will pass the mission. $3000 is yours!
Calm Before The Storm
After accepting the mission, quickly run up to Sal's place within 1 hour and 50 minutes. Hop onto the motorcycle or the Sentinel and follow the helicopter as it heads towards Hepburn Heights. Listen in on his conversation with the Diablos, and follow him once again. He'll head for Chinatown, so take the main roads to get to the hotspot. You'll need to get closer to overhear, so head through the alley and take the fire escape stairs towards the top. You'll be spotted, so equip your weaponry and get the hell away from those explosive crates. It's best to go down the stairs to the right and pop the two Triads down here. Afterwards, climb back up the stairs and kill the guard behind you, to the left. Now pick off the Triads one by one on the rooftop until they're all dead; they likely won't even react. To kill the other three on the ground, hop into a car and run them over once you reach the ground. You'll receive $1000 for killing them all.
The Made Man
Head back to JD's place and drive to the ceremony over in Harwood. Two cars full of hitmen will attack you by the time you get to the Head Radio Station. You'll have to bump into the cars until the guys get out of them, and run them over from there. You may even blow up their vehicles in the process, killing all the birds with a singular stone. Take the car to the yellow blip, and after the cut-scene, drive Mickey home. The cops will spot you along the way, although dropping him off should be no big deal. Afterwards, drop the car in the river by going down to the docks and hit the insane jump over the building. Break through the gate and drive to the left to find the docks. As you're driving it over the ledge, jump out to come to a rolling stop. Rest in peace, O'Toole. |
| Quote: | Ma Cipriani
Snappy Dresser
Go to the "C" on the radar to meet with your mother. She keeps going on about Giovanni Casa is a great man, so head to your apartment and pick up a camera. It's time to prove to Ma that he is a naughty pervert. Exit your apartment and park outside of the deli. You'll have to follow him home, but not get too close. It's best to cut corners from a distance. It's tough to find him once he's off of the screen, since he is not indicated as a blip on the map. He'll grab some hookers in Chinatown, so keep on his tail as you follow him to a secluded spot in the woodsy area of Liberty City. Hop out, zoom in on the hill and snap a photo. Take it to Ma to "win" her trust over Casa, and get a Benjamin to spend on the side.
Big Rumble in Little China
Visit Ma and she'll give you a harsh talking to about respect. You'll have to kill two separate groups of Triad members in order to clear this mission. Start out by grabbing a heavy duty car and chasing down the group in the bulletproof truck. Bust their asses up until their truck explodes, which should kill them all. The second group is beyond the marketplace, where vehicles cannot enter. Hop out and whip out your pistol. Follow the red blip and pump some bullets into these punks. Try to take out the ones with guns before the ones carrying the hatchets. If you fail the mission, try bringing automatic weaponry along.
Grease Sucho
You will have to win the race against Sucho in his Thunder Rod. It's best to grab a cop car for this mission, as the Police Car can travel at high speeds very quickly. It is very easy to get lost without warning here, as this is your first race. Just remember that instead of frantically looking for the next checkpoint, you can clearly spot the next 2 checkpoints on your radar, as indicated by the yellow blips. After the subway station blip, turn sharp left to reach the next and get a great lead on the competition. Accuracy is much more important than speed until the last stretch. The final marker will be red. After defeating him, bump his car and run him over to pass the mission and collect 1k in spending money.
Dead Meat
Ol' Ma Cipriani has a beef with Casa, as he stopped paying his "bills." It's time to make Casa lasagna! Pick up Casa at the deli and take him to the yellow blip on the map, near the docks. Drive him into the parking lot and watch the cut-scene. It's time to chop up ol' Casa! Chase him and knock him out, and begin slicin' 'n dicin'! The cops will show up soon after, so hop into the vehicle and bolt. If the cops try to cut you off, just brake and allow them to pass you. Hit that Pay 'n Spray and drop off the vehicle at Casa's Deli. Mmm, tasty! $500 is your reward.
No Son of Mine
Ma has really done it this time: she's put a hit out on you! Why that no good beehive hitcher! Grab the shotgun and aim away as you hitmen run up the stairs after you. Kill the two guards immediately and run to the other end to avoid explosion of the grenade. Kill off the remaining hitmen for the second wave. There's more weaponry and a health pick-up down here, so grab them before blowing through the five hitmen coming at you. A third wave is next, so equip that automatic weapon and blow up their car as they hide behind it. This will kill all of them in a single blow! The fourth wave does NOT play games, so take cover up above and hide where they cannot hit you. Wipe them out as they come for you. |

The Offer
The first mission with Sal revolves around dropping an offer to the head of the Union down at the docks. Hop onto the motorcycle in front of Sal's place and drive down to the docks. Once there, you'll be ganged up on by four guys. Run away and never look back. You'll have to escape the docks alive. Thankfully, once you start running it is incredibly tough for them to hit you, as they have to stop in order to punch. This will clear the mission.
Ho Selecta!
Grab an ambulance, as it's easier to put on your sirens and watch traffic part for you in this next mission, and they're sturdy. Back at Sal's place, he'll want you to collect six hookers and drop them off at the docks. Collect the first one and go left to find the second in an alley, within a car. Hop out and kill the driver, and hop back into your ambulance. Drive to the gas station in Saint Mark's and kill the two guys to steal their prostitute. Drive back south to find another hooker down the street, and you should have a full car. Drive to the picket line and drop off the girls, and go find three more prostitutes. Try turning left after coming off of the docks entrance to quickly find them. You'll receive $500 for passing the mission.
Frighteners
Grab the Leone Sentinel after accepting the mission and head for the red blip to the right. Run him off of the road and shoot at his vehicle. Beat his ass a little, but leave him alive. He'll straighten up. Now travel to the south to find another union boss. You can kill one of them, but no more than that, so be careful. With two down, you've got one more to go. Pull him off of the road and pop him in the head with a melee weapon after a brief confrontation. This should prove your point.
Rollercoaster Ride
Go visit the radio station nearest the diner to deliver a message to that damn Union chief before she exits the building (2 hours after the mission begins). Kill the driver of the limousine in front of the building and steal his suit. Hop into the white limousine and get ready to rumble! Your job is to scare the living hell out of her by performing tons of deadly stunts and crashing into many different things. After raising the scare meter, you will succeed in completing the first part of the mission. Now, take her to the ferry safely (if your car is badly damaged, take it to a Pay 'n Spray to repair it). You'll receive $1000 for passing the mission.
Contra-Banned
Grab the Leone Sentinel outside of the Leone house and rush towards the blue blips on the radar to reach the backup that you'll soon need. With the car full, head for the docks and park at the yellow blip on the radar. You'll have to kill all of the drug dealers first, so run over and grab that armor before chipping their lives away with your weaponry. Hop into the Patriot as soon as possible and make a run for the exit. You'll need to shake the fuzz by going to the Pay 'n Spray, so be on the lookout for bumps and hills that will make you flip over, as you'll likely get busted that way. Drive it back to Sal's lock-up to complete the mission. $1000 is yours! Now answer your phone!
Sindacco Sabotage
Head out to the garage and collect the weaponry that you'll need to succeed: an armor vest and a nice piece to blast sucker MCs with. Quickly hop into the Leone Sentinel and drive to the Red Light District to meet your homies. Run over as many of the Diablos as possible to begin the fight (try not to accidentally hit your own men as they scatter) and hop out with your weaponry once the stage is clear, for the most part. Collect the armored vest down the street as you march onward after clearing the first three waves. The rest of the waves will come from this direction, so use their own weaponry against them by grabbing it as they drop it. Head back up the street to kill the remainder of the Diablos.
The Trouble With Triads
Go back to Salvatore and accept the mission. Hop into the Leone Sentinel and drive to the warehouse that Sal mentioned. Drive in and get ready for a hellish fight. You will need to collect all of the money before it burns up, with countless amounts of Triads spawning consistently to end your mission early. The money is set in big piles, and thus it's best to collect it in bundles with that running like a mad man, so you collect all of it instead of all but one stack of Benjamins. If you've avoiding the Triads (they're bad shots), watch out before entering a new region. Be sure to check the radar to see if they're lurking. With all of the money collected, it's time to get out of there! You'll need to return all of the cash to Sal, so exit through the big hole in the wall and run to a car. Jack it, and dodge the fishheads all the way to Sal's place.
Driving Dr. Leone
Pick up Sal at his house and hop into the Leone Sentinel. Take off towards the ferry, and once you get there you will get instructions to go to the incomplete Callahan Bridge. The ride there is very straight-forward. Cut through the alley to lose some of the police cars that are now chasing you with your three star warning level. Turn right onto the bridge and crank your speed to full force in order to make the jump. Welcome to Staunton Island! Go park in the alley that Sal tells you to. This completes the missions on Portland! |
| Quote: | Maria
Shop 'til You Strop
Pick Maria up and grab a vehicle to take her to go shopping in. Park outside of a store and after she steals something, simply drive around to lose the coppers. Take her to another store, as indicated by the yellow blip on the map, and park. You'll have a three star warning level after the second jack, and the clerk will shoot your back right tire. Drive Maria to her apartment (no Pay 'n Spray needed this time) to complete the mission.
Taken For A Ride
Drop by Maria's to take her for another ride, this time to her cocaine dealer. They're located in Chinatown, so park behind them. When they take off with her, you'll have to chase them down and cut them off until they finally hop out of their vehicle. Once they do, the easiest way to defeat them is to simply run them over for the swift kill. Maria will hop back in the car, so drive her home for an easy $500.
Booby Prize
You'll have to win another street race in order to clear this mission. This race is with motorcycles only, so grab one (there's a beauty over at Sal's parking lot near his home, if all else fails). The race is all about accuracy over all else. You will want to not hit many vehicles, buildings, or anything else that will make you bail. If you can stay consistently in the top 3, you will likely clear the race if you hit the gas around the last few checkpoints (as noted by the red blip on the map). There are two laps.
Biker Heat
It's time to pay our buddy Wayne a visit. Grab some guns, if you're unarmed, and head to Chinatown to meet up with Wayne at the yellow blip. You can hop onto a bike and chase him or grab a semi-fast car and ram into him to really cool him off quickly, but ignore his goons at all costs. After ramming into him, he'll fly off of his bike. Run him over a few times (he may pump some shells into your vehicle-if so, hop out!). If all else fails, you can try hopping on the bike at the start and drive-by shooting him until he dies. The easiest way to catch up to him is through the alley. Wait for him at the entrance and start shooting straight ahead to kill him.
Overdose of Trouble
In this mission, you must rush to the diner and get a "zap." Hop into a car and park it by the sidewalk so Maria will quickly get in. Drive towards the diner and park in the yellow beacon. You'll want to get out of here quickly, so drive as fast as possible to avoid getting blown to bits. Drive her over by the dumpsters in Hepburn Heights and she'll remember that she has some in her apartment. Damn bitch! Ignore the bikers that may or may not be following you and dart for her apartment A-SAP. As soon as you arrive, she'll say she meant Sal's pad. For Pete's sake... Hurry up and roll up the hills to reach Salvatore's house, and you'll clear the mission. You'll unlock the Goodfella outfit for clearing Maria's story section. |

| Quote: | Salvatore Leone
A Walk In The Park
Your first mission here in good ol' Staunton is to kill the Mayor. Wow, so much for easy first missions. There are multiple ways to tackle this situation. You can go in the park unarmed and attempt to nab him by equipping a high powered weapon, or you can take a fast car through the park and run him over. If he hops into his car, chase him. You will have his hired protection on your ass, so be careful. Ram him car off of the road and into buildings to get him to come out of hiding. After killing him, quickly grab his phone and drop it off to your hideout. $1500 is yours!
Making Toni
Go to your place to find a note. Hop into the car provided and drive to the meeting spot. You'll pass the mission! $2000 is yours! Congrats on completing inarguably the toughest mission in the game!
Caught In The Act
Meet Salvatore at the docks. You'll have to play sniper here on the boat. You'll be aiming the turret, so kill the two guards on the rock and destroy the boat to the left of you. Take out the guy on the right and aim dead-ahead to fire at the explosive barrel. Repeat this process and defeat the boat in back of you. Quickly turn up and destroy the gunmen on the helicopter. Aim at the chopper itself afterwards, and collect your $2000.
Search And Rescue
Sal's stuck in the middle of a gang war, and you've gotta get him out of it. Go grab Sal's limo in the parking garage nearest the safehouse and grab some ammunition while you're at it. The Shotgun works well. Hop out of the limo at the yellow beacon and pop a shell into all of the men that hop out. Run to the right after smoking the first two and rest for a second. Pop out and hit the first one you see, and go through the alley on the left, but before you go, move the limo to the other entrance. You'll see why later. Kill two enemies and find Salvatore. Enemies will rush the alley now, so take cover immediately to the left and pick them off, one by one, until the coast is clear. Coming back into the alleyway will be a challenge in itself, as more enemies have spawned (hence why we didn't kill them prior to this). If you have grenades, use them! Of course, you likely don't, so just RUN! Run to the left to reach the limo. There are not as many enemies to this side. Once in the limo, drive to the garage. $2000 is yours after leaving the limo.
Taking The Peace
Step into the van at the hospital and you will take control of Paul Sindacco's vehicle. When he arrives near the meet up with the rival mob, take control of the vehicle and run down every last one of the Forelli goons without exploding in the vehicle. Pay close attention to the damage meter, as well, as Pay 'n Sprays will not cover your ass if you're getting hit. The tricky part will be running over the enemies under the awning. Just go in on the side and run them down. Hit and runs work best here. $2500 is your reward for killing them off.
Shoot the Messenger
Grab the phone and hop into a vehicle. Head south to reach the boat. Wait for the goon to drive by you and perform a drive-by itself. Stay on him very closely, shooting up his boat. You will eventually connect with his, taking him down completely. Mission complete! Collect your paycheck, holmes. |
| Quote: | Donald Love
The Morgue Party Candidate
After accepting the mission, you will need to drive to the blue icon on the map. You'll have to run it off the road for the driver to run away screaming. Hop into the hearse and drive it to the Pay 'N Spray marker on the map. With the fuzz shaken, you can safely deliver the hearse to Donald's private garage. $1000 is your reward.
Steering The Vote
Hop into the van and get ready for a race to the finish, without actually racing. There are a bunch of checkpoints in the area, as you can tell. You will need to hold at least 5 areas before the time limit expires. The more areas, the better. Try sweeping through every area as fast as possible and moving onto the next. Look at the map and decide an easy path to reach as many checkpoints as possible without going out of your way to hit them. This is a tough mission. Try getting your areas back immediately, or simply take out the vans themselves (we recommend the latter). New vans will respawn, but while you're van-free, take over as many areas as possible and come back to destroy the vans. After taking 5 areas, seek out the enemy vans and destroy them before the poh-poh destroys you. You'll receive $1500 for succeeding.
Cam-Pain
You will need to eliminate three sets of campaigners. The first set can be found on the rooftop of the building where the marker is. Sneak up there and cap them, and jump off of the middle roof to your car. The second set can be run over with the car. Remember, you only have to go after the ones that appear with the red marker over them. The third set is within city hall, and can also easily be run over. After all three groups are dead, you'll receive $1500 for your efforts.
Friggin' The Riggin'
Go to the American Flag icon on the radar to reach Phil's Gun shop. Grab a Flamethrower for free at the counter, and head for the destination on the radar, indicated by the yellow marker. Drive there and run over the men at the front door. Hop out and keep the flamethrower goin' steady on the ballots until they catch fire. Grab the health on the small platform afterwards, and destroy the printing machines next. After all of this, you will have to destroy the Forelli vans. You must chase them down and run them off of the road. Try knocking them into the ocean. $1500 is the reward.
Love & Bullets
You'll have to escort Donald around town as the Forellis attempt to assassinate him. Hop out and grab the Sniper Rifle. Take out the ground-level losers in the alleyway and the couple of snipers above them first, and kill the three snipers over the bridge afterwards. Use the L trigger to slow down your sniping movement to hit them with precision. Afterwards, hop in the driver's seat and drive down south as the hitman in the black car chases you. Take Donald back to his place, weaving in and out of traffic to lose the hitman. You'll gain $2000 for taking him back.
Counterfeit Count
Hop into any sturdy vehicle and go chase down the ballot van. When you find it, wait for the exchange to take place, and run the guy off of the road (or kill him as he's getting out of the car). Chasing him down is not recommended, as you must continue following the van and collect more ballots. After three successful kills, you will complete the mission and collect a fast $2500. Remember, just try to run them over as they're jogging back to their car.
Love on the Rocks
Donald calls back after the McAffrey mission stand. Before meeting the informant, grab the AK-47 behind the crates way off onto the docks. Meet Donald's informant under the overpass in Newport, and hop into the car. On foot, travel back along the docks and go up the ramp. Kill the guy up here with your AK, and kill the guards from up above here. There will be a blue car, loaded to the rooftops with heavy firepower. If you've still got some of that rocket launcher, now's the time to use it. Otherwise, take cover and aim that AK manually to the engine of their vehicle. That'll teach them! You can also grab the Yakuza Stinger in the parking lot and run over a good majority of these gangsters before it explodes. Grab the van and take off for the drop-off point. Ignore the cars filled with mobsters and head for the zone down south at Bedford Point. Park it in the garage to complete the mission. |

L.C. Confidential
Quickly steal a car and get to the highway immediately. Once at the FBI crime scene, hop into an FBI vehicle beyond the cop cars and quickly drive around the other vehicles to plow in the middle of the cop cars. Drive the FBI vehicle to the yellow beacon right off of the highway. Run the rat bastard over and hop out to retrieve the confidential report. Deliver it to the newspaper office and collect your $1500 for your good deed.
The Passion of the Heist
Travel far north in a fast car to find the mobsters at the ferry port. The easiest way to eliminate the scum at the port is to run them over and abandon your burning vehicle onto the living ones in favor of a new one. Rinse, repeat. Don't forget to take out the enemies on the helicopter, as well. You can run them over when they are low enough, or just grab that rocket launcher by the small building and KABOOM! There's a sniper atop this building, so waste him with some weaponry. Grab the Sentinel and head for the destination when everyone is dead. You will have a three star warning level, so be careful of those nasty ol' tire-poppers. You'll receive $1500 for dealing with the thugs and snaggin' the bling-bling.
Karmageddon
Go to grab a Firetruck at the fire station, and now it's time to cause hell on Earth! You will need to crash into as many vehicles as humanly possible! The better the stunts, the more the reward! Fill up the Armageddon meter to complete the mission. Just have a blast with this one. You collect bonuses for running folks over, spinning cars, dumping cars into the river, dismounting guys on bikes, rolling vehicles over, ramming vehicles into walls, and others! Destroy the Firetruck afterwards by dumping it into the river with a rolling jump-out. $1500 is your reward.
False Idols
You must whack three celebrities before they reach the radio station alive. Zoom over to Phil's Gun Shop and grab a Rocket Launcher that Father Ned has paid for. Head for Black Lightman in the limo and cut him off. Ignore the gunner and aim ahead for when they pull ahead of you. KABOOM! Next up is DB-P, in the Patriot. He should be coming right for you, so make his last day on Earth feel like the 4th of July. Now go for Faith W in the helicopter along the side of the highway. Quickly head back to the church, as it's not far from here! $1500 is yours, and the mission stand ends. |
| Quote: | Leon McAffrey
Sayonara Sindaccos
Hop into Leon's sports car and drive to the yellow blip, where the Sindaccos call home. Pop a cap into the four Sindacco boys that are lying low straight ahead, and round the corner to pop two Sindaccos. Hop into the car and get ready to man the turret. The majority of the onslaught will come from behind in the forms of motorcycles and trucks. Take them out as they become visible. The front attack is near the end of this deathly killing spree along the highway, so turn around and blast a couple of trucks before taking out the helicopter to the left. That'll teach'em!
The Whole 9 Yardies
Our favorite crooked cop wants to pay off one of his gang debts. Head over to the Forelli gang's bikes and steal one without killing off any of their gang members. Quickly drive to the yellow blip with the bikers tailing behind you (note: do not take the freeway, as you will fail the mission). The hardest part about this is keeping slow enough to not lose them, but going fast enough to not be taken over off of your bike. They pack some heavy heat, so you'll get messed up after being derailed twice, without armor. It is highly recommended to bring armor. Lead them to the kill zone and hop into one of the Yardi cars to run over every one of the Forellis. Yeehaw!
Crazy '69'
Lord have mercy, as you must slaughter 20 Forellis using only a katana. The Forellis will be scattered in singles throughout Belleville Park, thankfully, so just run up to each one and slice off their heads! Yeah! If you gain two stars, grab the police bribe over the bridge in the central park area. Be sure to kill the Forelli over the bridge before getting the one underneath, as the one atop will commit suicide and thus will not count towards your goal. You must slaughter these guys by the time limit indicated at the beginning of the mission, so kill quickly! $2000 is your reward, as well as the Dragon outfit.
Night of the Livid Dreads
You can purchase a Rocket Launcher to make this a lot easier. Make it over to the Newport alleyway in a vehicle to find 3 goons. Allow them to shoot the vehicle and hop out once it's ablaze. Afterwards, pick off the four mobsters that come in through the exit ahead with the shotgun that's lying there, and turn your attention to the exit, as you'll have to blaze through another set of bad guys. Go through the alley to find a whole legion of Forellis. Take them out by shooting them with the launcher, if purchased, or shoot the motorcycle with the shotgun to take out a vast number of baddies. Grab the armor vest to the left and pop out to pick off a few extras mobsters. There will be a few behind you, so watch your back! Step into the beacon when it appears. 2 grand is your spoils.
Munitions Dump
Quickly run up the hill and grab a Firetruck at the fire station. If you still have that Rocket Launcher from the last mission, you will be in luck. Simply go to the area where the trucks are and await their arrival. Line them up in your crosshairs and let them have a rocket to choke on. Quickly get into a car and drive off to find the second one. Park up ahead of the road it is traveling on and get prepared to lock 'n load another missile down their throat. When both vehicles are destroyed, you'll receive $2500. |
| Quote: | Toshiko Kasen
Note: This mission stand is available after completing "Shogun Showdown" for Salvatore Leone in Shoreside Vale. You cannot unlock it before going to Shoreside Vale.
More Deadly Than the Male
Meet Mrs. Kasen and head out towards Phil's Gun Shop. Go ahead and purchase an M4. Go to Bedford Point and snipe away at the two Yakuza scouting at the entrance. Look over the hill to find a bunch of guards along the boardwalk. Carefully aim anywhere on their bodies. If you connect, they'll drop like flies. Otherwise, nothing will happen. With the majority of them cleared out, go down and finish them off. Snipe the engines of the boats, or grab the Rocket Launcher down here. Finish off the enemy boats, and take the munitions boat. Drive it to the destination, and you'll encounter 4 Yakuza ships along the way. Ignore them and simply head for the yellow beacon. Once there, $2000 is yours, and the Minigun is now in stock at Phil's.
Cash Clash
Dart for the casino trucks in a sturdy vehicle and cut them off (or wait for a stoplight to occur). Hop out and use your weapon of choice on the vehicles (the Rocket Launcher is the obvious choice, and if you hit the front truck, you may start a chain reaction). You can also cut them off into a wall and drive-by shoot their engines without actually driving by. They get to the casino fairly quick, so it's easiest to purchase a Rocket Launcher (unless you have some leftover from the last mission) and do your thing. You'll receive $3000 for your actions.
A Date with Death
Pack some heat for this mission. Something fast to kill and quick to target, like a machinegun. Grab some Armor from your safehouse, if you've collected 30 packages. It looks like you've got a date with the young lady. Bring her limousine around to the front and pick her up. Quickly run to the clothing store along the side of the highway and hop back into the limo. The Opera is located at Liberty Campus, so head up way north and park in the yellow beacon. Whip out your gun and smoke the mobsters that come towards you. After all of them are dead, hop into the limo and drive her back to her apartment. These goons will be following you all the way, so watch out and hit the brake when they attempt to cut you off. Take her to the yellow beacon for $2000.
Cash In Kazuki's Chips
It's time to stop this before it gets out of hand. It's time to Kill Kazuki. Head over to Belleville Park after grabbing an M4 at Phil's place. Make sure you have some Armor. He is awaiting you in the alleyway. Drive to the yellow beacon and use the M4 on the three elevator guards. There are tons of guards around the corner, so shoot the engine to your vehicle to make it explode so you can hide behind it for cover without worrying about it going kaboom, and kill the remaining men. Grab a Yakuza vehicle afterwards and chase Kazuki to his casino, avoiding enemy Yakuza cars along the way. Run over as many guards as possible outside of the casino, and ditch the vehicle as it catches fire. Pick off the remaining guards and climb the stairs to pop the sniper. Head for the landing pad, and kill more easily dispatch-able guards with slow reaction. Go into the yellow beacon as soon as you can to fight Kazuki, one on one with the katana. As for you, simply use your M4 to smoke his ass in a matter of seconds. With Kazuki dead, grab the Armor on the rooftop and descend the stairs to ground level. Return to Mrs. Kasen's residence with her husband's sword. $4000 is yours as the mission stand comes to a close. |

Rough Justice
Note: You must buy a new suit at the shirt store before you can accept this mission.
Your first mission on Shoreside Vale will be to help out Sal after his run-in with the bronze five-oh. The Hoods will be your helping partners today against the Forellis. This is gonna be fun. Pick up the Hoods and travel down to Hood territory. It looks like the Italians have even taken over here. Time to change that. Grab some weaponry at the Hoods' pick-up spot and travel down to the right. Hit the Forelli vehicle in the parking lot. They will attack from all sides, but primarily to the right. The Hoods boys will cover their own backs, so just pop the majority of them on the street. Hop into their car and take it to the next red blip. Hit their other vehicle and repeat the process. This one is less deadly. $2500 is yours for passing this little test of strength.
Dead Reckoning
Paulie Sindacco is in dire need of an ass-bruisin', so cruise over to the dam (you can likely jump off of the cliff in a taxi and land perfectly fine down there), and park in the yellow beacon. Hop out and swap bullets with the goons to the left, and yank that Rocket Launcher near the bike. Hop onto the Sanchez and follow him along. Blow him sky high to clear the mission. Aiming to kill is the hardest part, but remember: the closer you are, the less likely you'll make a costly mistake. Two shots will do it. $3000 is your reward.
Shogun Showdown
The Yakuza have stored a crapload of weapons in Aspatria on Staunton. Head over that way and park in front of the gated area. Drive around the block and sneak in whenever a Yakuza is leaving. They have a Rhino tank within those gates, so plow through the gang members and hop into the Rhino. Drive out of the parking lot and you will soon notice that you're nearly invincible. Take the Rhino to the bomb shop, as indicated on the map. Hop out of the Rhino and walk away from it. Detonate for the win!
The Shoreside Redemption
Bring along something to perform a drive-by with. Grab a police car and park in the yellow beacon. At the dam, watch the cut-scene and turn around with the transport vehicle. Ride alongside of the mobster mobiles and drive-by them until they explode, but make sure they're not close enough to the transport vehicle when they do. Slam into their sides to detour them for a short while. After you cross the Staunton bridge, plow through another road block for the transport vehicle. As an alternate strategy, it's easier to perform drive-bys from a motorcycle. Once you're off of the highway, drive up far ahead and take out the road block (Rocket Launcher works wonders here). Remember, it is best to stay ahead of the transport vehicle to clear road blocks. You'll receive $4000 for clearing the mission.
The Sicilian Gamble
Go back to Portland for the final mission in the game. Get prepared accordingly. We're talking multiple M4s, Rocket Launchers, and the whole nine yards. Drive over to Staunton and park at City Hall. Jump out and use your M4 on all four of the Sicilians. Hop back into the car and drive for the pier just over to the east. Make your way on foot and stand in the yellow beacon. Shoot the Sicilian immediately down below, and you'll appear in the boat. You must aim the turret from now on. Aim in the back to kill the 5 boatloads of Sicilians, and more will follow. Most will come in from the left and right, but remain towards the back. Take out the chopper once it gets close. It's best to keep the turret in one place during the extra wavy portions of the ocean.
You will spin around the lighthouse isle several times with more boats chasing you until you dock. Collect the Hidden Package along the way up. After the Hidden Package, turn left and kill the guard. Kill another guard on the left before moving forward and killing the guard behind the boxes to the right. Kill another Sicilian and enter the yellow beacon. Whip out the Rocket Launcher and blow the helicopter away in a few swift blows-three, to be exact. Use the M4 if all else fails-you can even lock on! Congratulations! You have completed the Story portion of Liberty City Stories! Now get to crackin' on all of the hidden stuff and Odd Jobs! |
| Quote: | Donald Love
Panlantic Land Grab
Donald has come crawling back, and it's time to help him out, at least a little bit. Quickly grab a vehicle and take Donald to the airport. You'll have to follow and kill Avery Carrington to grab those plans! Ram his white truck to quickly lose the cartel, and once you cross over into Staunton, knock him off of the freeway, down below. He will hop out, so blast him away with whatever weaponry you have. Grab that briefcase and hop into a getaway car to go back to Donald's shack of an apartment. The reward is $3000 for clearing the mission.
Stop the Press
Hop into the nearest vehicle and travel across to Staunton Island to find the church. Upon reaching the church, step into the beacon and beat the reporter senseless, until he gives up the location of the film. Hop back into your car and drive to the newspaper office. He'll attempt an escape on the bike, so hop into the car you brought along and run him down, and over. With him dead, you'll receive $2000.
Morgue Party Resurrection
Grab the nearest car and you'll need to find a corpse as soon as possible. The nearest one is in the Wichita Gardens region. Head that way, and grab old Avery's corpse in the ambulance. Drive it to Avery's lock-up in the airport. Immediately afterwards, take off to reach the hearse on Staunton containing Ned's body. It's right off of the highway, parked at the church. Upon grabbing it, you will have a two star police warning, hence why it's best to do this one last. $2000 is your reward.
Love on the Run
Bring a lot of good weaponry. We're talking an M4 or two, baby. You must get Donald out of this place alive. Run into the shack and collect the Armor vest in there, and equip that M4 to blast away at the Colombians to thin their numbers out a little bit. If things start getting rough, try grabbing some of their weaponry, and don't forget about that heart container in the front yard. It may seem like an endless battle, but it will eventually end. Afterwards, grab a sturdy vehicle that you can trust to make it to the airport, as the Colombians will be chasing you all the way. Dodge the cop at the entrance to the airport yard, if you have wanted stars (likely). Park at the yellow beacon. $6000 is your reward for escorting Donald out of town. Answer your cell phone! |
| Quote: | 8-Ball
No Money, Mo' Problems
Accept this mission at 8-Ball's on behalf of Donald. It will take 8-Ball some time to create such a piece of hardware, so give him some time. After a few minutes, he will call you on your cell. You can now go to 8-Ball and accept the next mission.
Bringing Down the House
Hop into the van. Head for one of the tunnels near the freeway leading to the underground. Watch out for the Forellis in their minivans along the way, as they will ram your vehicle multiple times to get it to explode before you can reach all of the checkpoints underground. Just try to keep a steady speed without tipping over. Over on Staunton, weave between the medians to avoid hitting the rocky boulders ahead of you. You'll soon reach a very tiny corridor with more boulders to tip you over. Be VERY careful here. Run over the two push-overs and place the explosives by standing in the yellow beacon. Quickly get back in the van and get the hell out of the tunnel! Go through the other side and get the beacons as you go up the hill. Run over the lone witness after you lay the explosives down. Go through the other end of the tunnel, still protecting your vehicle. Lay the final set and head out the other side-but it is blocked off! Go up the ramp to the left and plow through the gates. Explosions galore! You will receive $5000 for clearing this impressive mission. |

same guy, yet different actor. Nobody compares to Michael Madsen, but I guess since it's a younger version, they had to, even if it is only like 4 years younger.
boy did he ever age in those years eh? hehe
he went from looking like Pacino in Scarface a bit in LCS, to looking like an old fat Pacino type character in GTA III _________________ "YOUR HOES ARE BITCHES, YOUR HOES ARE BITCHES!"-LAZLOW (WCTR)

I hate the changes in Toni... They should never have used him. He's a good character, but it's so unrealistic the way he changes in 3 years...
Another thing I hate is Maria, she's also a different actor and she seems a totally different person. Grrrr _________________ Mutha fucka. |

yeah, i can understand them changing the actor if it was say 10 years, maybe even 20, but there's no way Toni went from in great shape, lookin maybe 30 or so, to lookin 50 and fat in a 3 year period. _________________ "YOUR HOES ARE BITCHES, YOUR HOES ARE BITCHES!"-LAZLOW (WCTR)

Those missions are in no order, BTW
*****SPOILER*******
The best way to beat the mission
"The Portland Chainsaw Masquerade" Is to use the one-shot kill guns.
I prefer the Stubby shotgun, or the colt python, you can find the python on your way inside the ship hallway. _________________ 10k= 1/6/06
