The following guide is by David McCutcheon of IGN, and can be found here
| Quote: | Odd Jobs
General
Vigilante Missions
When driving in a police vehicle, whether it is a Police Car, Enforcer, FBI Car, or the dreaded Rhino tank, you can toggle the Vigilante mission on or off. In the Vigilante mission, you can be the police and take out armed criminals by tracking them down, busting up their vehicle, and killing them. If you successfully defeat 12 levels of this mission, you will receive a Armor increase of 50%, making your Armor 150%.
Paramedic Missions
When you're driving an Ambulance, you can stop taking lives and start saving them by toggling on the Paramedic mission. By doing so, you will be given destinations to pick up victims and time limits. You must pick up a patient and drop them off at the hospital before the time limit expires. If you clear 12 levels of saving lives, you will be allowed to run infinitely without ever losing your pace!
Firefighter Missions
Want to stop causing fires and start stopping them? Sure ya do! Hop into a Firetruck and toggle on the Firefighter mission. You will be given a destination on the map, and you must reach that destination before the fires overwhelm the property. Use the hose to extinguish the fire from your vehicle. You can spray down those pedestrians for kicks, as well. By passing level 12 in the Firefighter missions, you will become immune to fire, making it much easier to throw Molotov Cocktails without a care in the world!
Taxi Driver Missions
Whenever you're in a Cabbie or a Taxi (or any form of super-taxi, for that matter), you can toggle on the Taxi Driver mission. You will take on the Tip meter as you quickly collect passengers and drive them to their destinations. The faster you get them to their destination, the bigger the tip, but the meter will drain big time if you scare the passenger to much (i.e. don't crash). After completing 100 drop-offs (not in a row), you will unlock a fancy taxi available at Taxi service in Trenton, Portland.
Trash Man Missions
Whenever you're inside of a Trashmaster garbage truck, you can toggle the Trash Man mission on or off. During this mission string, you will go around the town collecting trash. You will not collect anything for completing the mission set, but it will count towards the 100%.
Avenging Angels
On all three isles, you can wear the Avenging Angels outfit and go to one of three places: Chinatown, Belleville Park and Wichita Gardens. The Avenging Angels mission is pure Hells Angels type madness, where you must chase down rival gangs and kill them all within the time limit. Watch your health, armor and ammunition closely! You'll unlock the Avenger, a bullet-proof motorcycle, for completing it in Portland. In Staunton, you'll never have to pay for bail after getting busted. In Shoreside Vale, you'll unlock the Superhero outfit. |

Red Light Racing
Pick up the telephone near the main road at Chinatown to start the mission. Grab a fast bike (the PCJ-600 at Sal's place isn't a bad choice), and go to the starting line. This is a three lap race that wraps around Hepburn Heights, so get ready for some fast thinking as the markers wrap quickly around the corners. The key to winning this race is to be accurate. You'll likely be stuck in second place for a good majority of the time, but when that guy in first eventually bails, then you'll take over for the rest of the race.
Low-Rider Rumble
Hop into a fast car and head to the starting line. We recommend anything that can get speed quickly (a Leone Sentinel or a Police Car come to mind, as both of these vehicles can take a beating). The race consists of two laps against very crappy cars that can barely get enough "oomph" to carry their weight. You'll race around the subway system through Chinatown, the Red Light District and straight into Saint Mark's. The ride is fairly easy, too, with very little rugged turns.
Thrashin' RC
Hop into the Toyz van at the construction site in Hepburn Heights to start this pint-sized race. Getting used to how the RC cars control can be the biggest obstacle to overcome throughout the entire race. There is only one lap that works its way around the construction yard and out onto the streets. The make-or-break point is going through the tunnel walkway, where people can actually flip your RC over if you're not careful enough. You will either gain a lot of ground or wind up in 4th place here. Just remember to hug the side.
Noodle Punk
Drive to Punk Noodles in Chinatown and hop onto the little Faggio on the side to start the mission. This works a lot like the pizza delivery missions in Grand Theft Autos of past. You must travel to certain blips on the radar and deliver Chinese food to them. After completing ten levels of the food delivery service, you will gain 25% bonus to your health meter! You'll also be able to collect money at this property from now on.
RC Triad Take Down
Ahh, the scarcely-loved, mostly-despised RC missions. At least they're optional this time around, right? For those of you that enjoy these (like us, we hate to admit), or if you're just going for 100% or bragging rights, you must kill 20 Triads to complete the mission. Hop into the van in Chinatown, under the Chinese rooftop. Look for the Triads (black and blue are their colors) and quickly detonate a RC vehicle near them. The more in the crowd that you destroy, the better. You'll gain 5 seconds for every kill you achieve, so go for the gusto.
9MM Mayhem
Look for the Freeway in the alley of the Red Light District near the stairs that lead to one of the many rooftops. Hop on, and you'll be aiming a turret on the back of the motorcycle. You will have to shoot 10 bikers off of their motorcycles within the time limit. As cars zoom away, the clock will stop, but if they're in striking range, it will keep on ticking. You'll have three Adrenaline Pills to down to steady your aim more, as aiming will prove to be your biggest challenge. Remember to shoot off the riders, not the bikes themselves. You'll begin shooting bigger cars. Try taking out the tires and shoot the engines for best results. Do NOT shoot the driver, or you will fail.
Car Salesman
At the car dealership, you will have to sell the vehicles to different folks by giving them test drives. You can only do this mission from 08:00 until 18:00. After clearing all of the levels, you will be able to collect money at this establishment whenever you're in the area. Each consumer has a different take in mind. For instance, if they're interested in a fast car, drive like crazy. If they want the station wagon, be as tame as possible. If they like the manly cars, run over as many peds as the pedal can give you. For trucks/dune vehicles, drive along anywhere that's off of the road, like right beside you.
Scooter Shooter
Think of this as 9MM Mayhem part 2. Go to the Chinatown alley with the stairs and hop onto the Faggio. Yes, you're going to destroy a bunch of vehicles on a Faggio. Yep, you're just that tough. This works practically the same as 9MM Mayhem, so it's advised that you complete that before tackling this one, and immediately try this one while you're in the groove of things.
Wrong Side of the Tracks
You'll find a Sanchez somewhat near the docks, at the suspended train station. Hop on and you'll begin a race along the train tracks. This is one of the best races in GTA history, according to us. You must race 3 others cyclists and win the lap around the train tracks. If you stay in the very central platform, you can avoid oncoming trains. It's more of a hassle to stay on the actual track that to outrace your opponents, so worry only about hitting your checkpoints. If you fall off of the tracks, you will lose the race.
Bumps And Grinds
Over at the off-road dirt trail in Harwood, you will find a Sanchez. Hop on to bring up a menu of 10 different tracks. Keep in mind that each track is only different in selection of the order that the beacons appear in. The track design itself will always stay the same. After clearing all 10 of the courses, you will unlock a beefy version of the Sanchez for future races.
Slash TV
Head to the ship after completing the final Vincenzo mission wearing the Overalls outfit, and you will get ready to dig into just about the same thing that you overcame in Vinnie's final stand. It's best to come packing heat and unload after an energy burst. Whenever you have a lead on the opposition, speed ahead to a corner and blast their asses away! Rinse and repeat. After completing the challenge, you'll unlock the Chicken costume in the Outfits.
Scrapyard Challenge
Head to the compacter near Harwood and you will discover a Sanchez to the side of a structure. Hop onto it to begin the mission. The mission objective is simple: you must obtain 20 points by the time of finish. You gain points by running into colored orbs. Green orbs are worth 1 point, yellow orbs are worth 2 points, and red orbs-the hardest to obtain-are worth a whopping 3 points. It's best to collect the red orbs from the very start of the race. Learn the best routes on how to get at least three of these prestigious red orbs within as little time as possible, and collect green/yellows the rest of the way. |

Torrington TT
Grab the telephone at Donald Love's place and you'll be challenged to a race. Grab a PCJ-600 and head to the starting line. This race is a rocky one, depending on the traffic, as you'll cut through tons of streets in a jerky manner. Try laying off of the acceleration before turning, as you'll cut corners faster this way. Lay on the accelerator immediately afterwards to gain your lead again. Pay close attention to your map and seek out turning points. The racers will miss their turns every now and then, so make sure you do not miss yours. There are two laps in this hectic rat-race.
Deimos Dash
Pick up the phone at Aspatria, near the park, and grab a fast car. You can probably find a Deimos SP floating around somewhere along the streets near the race. This race will be one long lap, so try to eliminate the competition early on. You should ram into the behinds of the racers to get them to turn around and spin out of control. When you reach the straight-away road, hit the accelerator and get ahead, as the next few beacons will be your last.
Love Media's "Car-azy Car Giveaway"
Across from the newspaper office, you will find the "Car-azy Car Giveaway" contest garage from Love Media. You must deliver all of these vehicles to receive a PCJ-600 and a V8 Ghost at your Staunton safehouse. Pretty nice rides to grab for your early adventures on Staunton! Here is the list:
* Hearse
* Faggio
* Freeway
* Phobos VT
* Infernus
* Sentinel
* PCJ600
* Deimos SP
* Manana
* Hellenbach GT
* V8 Ghost
* Thunder Rodd
* Banshee
* Landstalker
* BF Injection
* Patriot
Ragin' RC
Enter the van inside of Belleville Park, near the small log house, to start this RC racing mission. There is only a singular lap to pass, so make sure you do not screw up too much. Again, the control scheme is a bit loose, and a good portion (think "all") of the race will be along walkways and other areas where pedestrians can get in your way, easily putting you in last place. Get out ahead of the pack early on to secure a win, as there aren't too many sharp turns (most are rolling bends).
Pizza Boy
Next to Phil's Gun Shop is a pizza place called Joe's Pizza. Hop onto the Pizza Boy at this location and you will start one of the Odd Jobs in the game. You must deliver pizzas by driving near the person that ordered said pizza and throwing it at them. You must reach 10 levels of this pizza sidequest to unlock a 25% health bonus. You will also create an income that you can collect at this location regularly.
Motorcycle Salesman
Go over to the Hogs 'n Cogs in Belleville Park to start this mission during their open hours. This is a great way to get some easy cash-money, depending on how fast you sell the bikes. You must sell ten of each model to begin collecting revenue at this location. To sell the bikes, you must travel with a customer around the city to raise their Sale meter. Different biker types bite the dollar on different things (i.e., PCJ-600 fiends love speed, Sanchez fans dig anything offroad, the Angel types love killing people (and what a great joke/reality that is), etc.
Go Go Faggio
Head to Newport near the docks to find the Faggio sitting all by its lonesome. Hop on it, and you'll unlock a checkpoint race. These things are always the toughest, as you must hit really obscure checkpoints to continue the race. The toughest of all of the checkpoints rests atop the crates on the left side, so get them out of the way first. This will save you a lot of struggle, as if you collect all of the checkpoints beside those and then screw up, you'll be kicking yourself a lot harder. Trust us, we know first hand. We wish there were more of a solid strategy to hand out, but there simply isn't. Practice makes perfect here. |

Wi-Cheetah Run
Obviously by the sound of it, you will have to race throughout the Wichita Gardens against three Cheetahs. You can jack a Cheetah nearby, as they will spawn around the race. Other racing cars work just the same, as long as you've got the right moves. This race will take you around the Wichita Gardens, literally. The entire race consists solely in the Wichita Gardens and a little bit of outer Cedar Grove. The key to winning this race is knowing when to lay off the acceleration, and bump the "hip" of the car in front of you to get them to spin out of control at high speeds. There are two laps to complete.
Gangsta GP
This is a dastardly motorcycle race to the death! Or something. The payphone at Pike Creek (southern side) will ring, and you must grab a PCJ-600 and ride to the starting point. This race will take you around Pike Creek itself. There are a few tricky sharp turns to watch, as you'll go flying off of your bike if you hit traffic or even just spin a little bit. Traffic is tough, as you're in the busy factory district itself, but try to lie off of the acceleration and turn into the proper lane, if you can. Three laps later and (hopefully) you're a winner.
Chasin' RC
This final RC race takes place right by the airport, and goes immediately through the airport. This one isn't nearly as hard as the last two for the simple fact that the pedestrian interference is at an all-time low, since you'll be traveling throughout the airport itself. The only thing that will truly stop you from dominating this race are the stairs that you must jump to switch which yard you're in. If you hit the sides of one of these jumps, you will likely fail.
See The Sight Before Your Flight
Head to the fountain at the airport and you will spot the tourist information booth nearby. Tourists will want to take photographs, and you have to take them to where they want to take the photographs. After completing all 12 levels of this sidequest, you will unlock a bulletproof Landstalker at your safehouse. You have a limited amount of time (and a limited amount of photographs) to complete each of the levels. As they progress, they get further away and you'll gain a minute or two.
AWOL Angel
Go to Wichita Gardens to find an Angel motorcycle next to one of the apartment entrances. You'll be riding along the back of the motorcycle while an unknown driver takes you around town. You will have to shoot ten vehicles with the automatic turret you're given. You'll receive nothing for completing this quest (by destroying ten vehicles), except it will count towards your 100% total. This will be tricky, as you'll plow through many different types of vehicles. Try using those three Adrenaline Pills periodically, never using two in a row unless you've saved them at the very end of the battle. |

Holy crap, that's a damn long list! That's so freakin' cool!
I can't wait for Witchita Wipeout.
Oh, BTW it seems you can buy properties again (Unlike SA, where you could only buy pointless houses.) _________________ ----------
